Well, I guess that I will make it official. I have been working hard on backdating the R&N route to the 1950s with Roon3808's blessing. While I plan on recreating the Shamokin Division, I am also planning/being forced to recreate the other rail lines in the area, such as the LNE, the PRR's Schuylkill River Division, as well as the CNJ and LVRR line out to Lehighton. A special thanks to Roon3808 for letting me release this when I get it done.

The first phase will consist of the Little Schuylkill Branch, which ran from Port Clinton to Tamaqua. I have the trackwork almost entirely done, and all I have to do is finish the retexturing, re-vegitating, and reconstructing a few areas in order to accommodate the backdating, so the release of phase I is about a month or two away.

But who says that I can't post some pics while I work.

Are you using the trimmed down route or the full beta route which includes Jim Thorpe, Pottsville, Mahanoy City/Ashland/etc.? I'm creating a bigger route with the R&N beta all the way up to Sayre, PA, also to Manville, NJ and Harrisburg, PA on NS lines with the NS Reading Line plus DEM extensions. Also the Steamtown lines out of Scranton to Portland, PA, Carbondale, and Kingsley, PA.

Full beta.

And no offense, but you are going to fail. You cannot possibly manage to get pretty much all of the 300 miles of Reading trackage, LV line from Mauch Chunk to Sayre, Cross line, and all that stuff into one route. Trainz probably won't even support it, let alone run it.

But yeah, I plan on eventually doing everything, mainline to Pottsville(with a portal connecting it to Tamaqua since there is no DEM for between the two, the Shamokin Branch, the Catawissa branch, as well as the LV and CNJ lines out to Mauch Chunk and Lehighton.

Now, if only I could get ahold of Mauch Chunk Station.

Just a quick update. Thanks to William Rutger's great generosity, I have just saved a bunch of time on my eventual recreation of the mainline up to Pottsville. I have managed to seamlessly replace the untouched section on my version, with Williams partially done version. While I will end up redoing the forests, towns and the like, the important part is the graded track.

Thanks again William.

Don't worry, it just takes practice. I am still learning new techniques.
