Up Coming Snow Storm this weekend for NE

I live in northwest Indiana, just south of Michigan City. Usually we get nailed pretty good. All we got was a light dusting and high winds. Today was a bright sun shiny day almost 40 out. Very odd for this area this time of year.. Luckily I'm a dirt bag with an ex-trashed yard, now its cleaned up Sorry, couldn't resist.

Honestly I wish it would get back to all the snow and freezing. I live in an old town called English Lake. My property butts up against an old Pennsy line that used to haul wood out to Chicago after the fire. I own an old Hotel, small flop house actually, that used to belong to the railroad. For some reason they double tracked it before abandoning it and the hotel sits at the base of the grading. With all the flooding in the last two years its starting to wash the foundation out. Its a shame I was going to remodel it and move in but the damage is done. You should see all the hand made copper ceiling tiles and all the tongue and groove oak flooring and wainscotting. Best I can do now is rip it out and save what I can. I bought an old farm house across the road from me and I hope to salvage as much as I can to put in there.

There is another old Hotel that used to belong to Capone just across the Kankakee River from me thats almost in the same shape. The guy who owned it had it listed as a land mark but all the flooding over the past two years is taking it's toll there as well. Even the old dance hall and general store are feeling it.

Oh well, best I can do is save what I can.
