Well I have been looking at Blender, an older version of 3dsmax that my son has and gmax and leaning to trying out Blender. I need to stick with one because this old mind just wouldn't be able to handle the differences in the products along with learning how to use them. The question I have (well questions) is. I am thinking of trying my hand at a Virginian Concrete Coaling tower that they used at Page WV. Engine facility. it was a two container deal cones at the bottom like some of the C&O ones. My question to you fine gentlemen is this.  Should I stick with just a small outbuilding, perhaps a toolshed or do you think the coaling tower is doable by a beginner? Any and All suggestions and help would be most welcome. I really know almost nothing about the creation side of trainz but decided if I want some of these items on my route I need to figure out how to make them.

I won't even ask about textures yet.........I have not drawing talent at all.  I can't even get a straight line on those F-Units to do a reskin of a monon unit.

Personally I would recommend doing a few really simple things first to get the feel for how it works and the best way to do things.

Yeah...that's why I made the barns.  You don't get much simpler than that...well...maybe an outhouse.   Cheesy
