General Discussion / Trainz Cloud New Feature Idea
« Last post by TrainFreak1994 on January 11, 2017, 06:03:54 AM »
For those who have or had Apple products know what I'm talking about. You store all of your data (backup) onto a cloud that way if you install a new game, uninstall, or get a new rig, you can simply just go to the cloud and import the content from your cloud. It's safe, effective, and risk free. You won't have to worry about accidentally messing up when you back up your files on the computer and delete something or simply forget that you have it and delete it or corrupt the file so it won't pick up in the new version or computer.

Whole thing was burnt out, went right to the dumpster.

Looks like the aftermath of dirty tips and no arch shoot.  Is anything left on that contactor that is reusable?

Good luck on the job.  Even if you don't get any of those, keep trying.

While I'm at it lets keep kicking the forum corpse.

Here's what you get when your GP16's relays don't pick up and melt themselves.  First tool used to get them out was a fire extinguisher.  That solid mass I'm holding use to be the contacts.

Good luck.  Don't be disappointed if nothing comes of anything though.  With 2 years experience working in the rail industry even I don't get interviews with Amtrak.

Thanks Bill.  I've got roughly the same opinion form the outside looking in as well.  It looks to me that they're going down the route Railworks/Train Simulator has gone and like them still haven't added anything worth while.  If I ever catch the Trainz bug again it'll be there as it always was I guess.

Signed up for locomotive engineering jobs in Philadelphia, Portland, Oregon, Miami, and Austin. Hoping that the railroad gods bless me with an interview and hire for anyone of the positions.

From the numerous conversations in the past and looking at what is in the different simulators, it really comes down to what do you want out of a simulator.  I myself, haven't been very active in Trainz for the last couple years. But recently, I have started to get the ambition to start working on some of my dormant projects again. (plus a couple new ones)  From everything I've been seeing with various screen shots I've been seeing and with what I've been doing in TANE, for me anyway, TANE is a step up.  I know there are others that would say differently.  That is why I said for me, I think it's a step up.  The only true way to know is to load it up, install all the updates, and give it a thorough workout in the areas that most interest you.  In the end, it still comes down to your personal preferences are.

Still haven't touched it to find out if my purchase was worth it.  Though that fact answers my own question.
