Hacking up hairballs since 1965.

« on: December 07, 2008, 11:28:24 PM »

Can't get enough good track so I'm adding my first track download to the list. A 2 pack of one 115 lb high detailed rail with unit mesh taking it from 3590 polys to 26 and one lower poly track spline consistently at 26 poly. It doesn't have all the refinements for TR2009 like spectral lighting and such but it does load error free. If all goes well I hope to get most of the rest of the track I'm working on on the USLW DL site within a month. Well see how that goes. Have fun. Grin

Looks great Bill. I am downloading it now. Thanks for the beautiful contribution to my route building.

Got it this morning, I can't wait for the rest of it!  Grin

(About those little bridges...  Wink )

EDIT:  It seems as though I can't find the download page from the Surveyor objects page, though the link you provided works fine.  Huh?

Tyler might have been updating something on the site. It's there now Ferrous. Next I'll be releasing the same pair of track except with light colored ballast. After that I'll finish up the track on a 5 meter levee. That one goes with that small trestle. Some were in there I'll release the bridge track. Grin

I had to do something. My projects folder is getting to big. Cheesy

This project was started 2 years and 2 months ago. How long are you willing to wait for the next release?  Cheesy Not to fret. I can take under 2 years to complete a project. It only took me 2˝ months for my heavy duty flat car. Only about 12 days for my pallet product. Grin

None of the downloads show up on the page until I validate that they are working correctly and valid to be on the downloads page.

This one went up fast. A duplicate of the dark ballast track except with light colored ballast.

And for those that don't want that high of detail for their track, (or their computer can't handle it) here is some chunky mesh track with the same looks as my track1 and 2 packs.

Hey Bill,

What about rusty rails? What do you think about that? Smiley

I was planning on doing some rusty rails too. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I have numerous images I'm going to use already. I just need to get the rusty rail texture situated and applied. Smiley

You beat me too it Dnutter. These are great Bill. I was just wondering if you were planning on also making one that has only the ties, as in the rails are removed.

Keep up the great work. I love this track.

Edit: One more question. You might have mentioned this somewhere, but what ballast texture do you recommend for matching the track. Thanks.

I thought of it a few hours ago. I also thought of just the ballast and no ties at all. It will be just a scenery item so it will look like a abandon line were they salvaged everything before leaving. Wink
