1. did you read up where i posted no arn models of these?

2. when was the last time you gt this model, because i changed as much silly mapping as i could over the course of the release especially in that area.

you could try downloading the no arn models or dl the southern one again, both are up to date.

okay, this is a really n00bish question.

how do I figure out which parts to show that I want to show? For example, your models all had different horns. How do I select which one I want for my repaint?

NEW QUESTION: Are there any tutorials on how to edit the ARNs on these units?

I am attempting to make Conrail Version of JR's F7. I have just started learning photoshop and reskining all in the same week.
Here is my current progress.

The only model I could use for this was a non-arn version which NS-37 Provided. Since it didn't have the extra headlight and it only had the single horns on the roof.
I have run into some trouble now. How do I get, the numbers back onto the numberboard. Everytime i attempt putting numbers into the board in game it doesn't work. I do not know enough about scripts or scripting to fix the mistake. Another future problem is going to be getting the numbers on the side of the engine like in the prototype photos below.

I am trying to learn. Any help would be appreciated.

thats actually a pretty good start. just a note, you can remove the cooling pipes on top in the config.

the no arn units are just that, no arn, this also means they dont have number plates on the model or in the numberboards, you will have to add those on the skin if you use the noarn models.

I was just looking over the re skin PSD's and and I can't tell were the number boards are mapped.  I'm thinking it's on f7_sfred_a towards the bottom left but I'm not sure.

Ok thanks for the heads up.

On the fan PSD. I color in the areas, but the entire fan turns blue. I am assuming i have to do something with the alpha channel, but im completly unsure how to proceed on that front.

When you save the fan make sure you save it as a 32 bit TGA and not 24.  If you save it as 24 the alpha channel won't work and you get the results you got.

Ok, I've removed the pipes and fixed the fan so that its blue and it spins.

I am still struggling with numbering. I have created 2 new layers above the shadow, with arced text over the area where the number boards are, but it is not showing up in game. Do I actually, have to create the numbers and put them in there or am i just not putting the text in correctly?

Thanks for the assistance, so far.

Updated Pic.

The closest font I could find to Conrail Font. I just need to figure out how to get text to show up on top of the numberboards and find a Word Font that is close to Early Conrail CR.

Might want to consider reducing the color saturation on that blue a smidge.

B Unit is up to the same stage as the A Unit. I messed with the color saturation and uped the hue a little to get to proper conrail colors.

I still need help with the numberboards. The one on the left is still flipped backwards. I will attempt to make or find a close font for the White CR on front and sides.
Any help with the front numberboards will be appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do with that reversed number.  Justin would have to change and re export the mesh on that one.  He probably didn't think about that being reversed on one side.  Look like you got the color spot on though.  Great job so far.
