Hello Justin, I'd like to ask a question about the mapping for the F7.  I'm having a hard time figuring out where the outer rim of the number boards and bottom light are mapped to.  In this pic, they are black, but are supposed to be gray.

I figured out they are mapped to the sfred_b file thanks to the wiremap layer, but can't figure out where on the file it's located.  If you can help me that would be great.

Robby

numberboard housings are under the cab side doors, map b. the lower light is right beneath that old coupler texture on the same map.

I have a question, how is reskinning done? I can tell you how to reskin an HO scale F7, I can show you how to reskin an O scale F9, some of you guys have some real talent there, ( I know, we all do to some degree), I have looked at things, and can't seem to figure out how you guys do it, I can't work with gmax much either, (see! I told you guys you were talented), I would love to be able to do some things myself, some of us older guys just have a harder time figuring this stuff out.

Thats part of the fun of reskining; finding out where various creators have hidden the textures for stuff. :D

yes it is possible to get them to flash. the script included with the F7s should be able to handle that assuming you put the right bits in the config file.

I think I'll have to put my NS OCS unit F7 reskin up on USLW for download later.  Never released the damn thing..and it looks pretty good.  Only thing missing is really the ditchlights that NS installed on em.

Kevin, i have a pair a ditchlights that i got from simulatortrain that are interchangeable, i can hook you up with them. You just have to adapt the config to attach them to the front.

I went and put the Ditchlights on someone else's NS F7, and it turned out ok,
