I wasn't really trying to make you guess.  I just don't know what I'm doing.  Maybe one of these days I'll get a clue. ;)

Thanks.  We can only hope I eventually get a clue.  I actually started this over 1 year ago but let it collect dust until yesterday.  I'm still not sure why I decided to start working on it again.  Maybe by the time I'm done with it I'll have that figured out. :D

I'll guess that the reason why you are starting on it is probobaly having something to do with the 140th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad being complete. This is just a guess I really don't know, but good luck on it.

Just make it a DD40X. It looks pretty good so far. You post seems pretty melancholy for some reason. It is kinda depressing to tell you the truth. If you are looking for a project there are always ALCOs to make.

He did have the Monster C-855 in progress a long time ago when i asked him about some possible C630s, but i have no clue where that dissapeared to.

The 855 is collecting dust on my hard drive.  Every once in a while I work a little on it then push it off to the side again.  I just keep getting wound up in other projects. ;)

Well, I figured I needed to do a good post for number 3000 .  Waffles must be good. ;)

Since I was able to get some good measurements of the real thing and many detail pics I decided it was time to do some reworking and post a progress shot.  Just working on some of the details. :cheering:
