why bill... ROFL

Well, I needed some trucks for the DD40X and I wasn't about to use the built in ones for obvious reasons, the ones Toby made for his way back when are better but they don't match my style and they are out of date and I don't think they would look right under it and having been working on my supper detailed SD40-2 I was still in the detail mode then one thing lead to another...  You think I went overboard with the detail? :D

looks fantastic Bill. i did not think it would matter much, but since you were making such a nice detailed model of the trucks and you can kindof see if you are looking when its mounted on the engine... the cross member portions where the frame is joined on either side, kinda looks empty in there from the side when its mounted on the loco. and the plate on the back where the 4th motor mounts. also i thought that the piping diagram might help.

apologies for the side/ top view.

air pipe routing.

Thanks Justin.  If your referring to the cross members that support the rear of the traction motors they are their. it's just with the angle and the way everything is lite you can't see them well.  Here is the truck out from under the loco.

I hadn't thought those air lines were going to be that visible until I got the trucks under the loco. That's on my todo list for things to fix now.

Thanks for the diagrams.  I do have that manual.  I've found it indispensable for the information I've gotten off of it.  I have those two plus page 12 for the brakes printed, covered with notes and measurements.  Looking at that side frame drawing I think I see were I screwed up something.  Time to consult my pictures some more. :D

Your thoughts and opinions are always appreciated.  I think I'm done building on the trucks.  Now to get rid of the unnecessary polys. :cartwheel:
