I've sent this to the Downloads Page.

Threadplate ramp for loading and unloading rolling stock...strong enough to support loaded forklifts.

I was wondering if I could get a little feedback on this thing.  I normal mapped it and it seems to me like it worked...but what do I know.  Doe's it appear to be normal mapped to you?  My first experiments with NMing didn't work well.  There was a problem with the code that controls the fog effect in TRS2006.  At that time I was trying to use the Nvidia plug-in with Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, for which it wasn't really designed.  With this one, I used the same plug-in, but with Adobe Photoshop CS Extended.  I was just wondering if it actually worked.  You have to get pretty close to it to tell, like in the above shot.  In normal Trainz situations that wouldn't happen.  Perhaps if you were playing a first-person shooter, carrying a plasma rifle as you entered the boxcar, it would be more apparent.   Wink

Sorry Fred, I guess folks are a tad distracted atm Smiley

To be honest i didn't d/l it, i simply don't 'drive' and it is something i would never use except maybe as a lying-around 'thing'.  The screenie looks good though, except i did think maybe the texture was a bit over-scale, though i do not pretend to be familiar with the real thing...

To be honest Fred, I can't tell if it has a normal mapped effect or not. It does have a 3d quality to the pattern, but that could just be the texture you used. The shadow rotates with the object and does not remain consistant with Trainz light source direction as I thought bump mapped textures did. Or is bump mapping and normal mapping different. I am ignorant on this matter. I agree with Dermmy that the texture is a bit overscaled for my own taste.

I like it.  I am personally ok with the textures.  I just wish I could find some decent rolling stock with open doors so I could use it like you did in your pic.  If you ever do more of these, one with small sides on either side would be neat so the forklift cant fall off....  Awesome work either way!
