A while ago I asked if I could post some stuff I found in my wanderings around the internet...
Well, when you work at a satellite uplink facility and there is 12,345,678,900 channels and nothing on, I do searches...
And I found a model train picture and plans book.
Published by the makers of the Car and locomotive cyclopedia.
Circa 1951.
It has as highlights:
Erection drawings for NKP 2-8-4 Berkshires, N&W J class 600 class, WM challengers, WM shays, ATSF 2-10-2, N&W 2-6-6-4 A class, C&O 2-6-6-6 H8 class, NYC 4-8-2 Mohawks.
Also included are Tender / Passenger / Freight car trucks, railroad cars, valve gear drawings. Almost too much to list.
The price? Free

2 sites I use to find Fonts for lettering reskins:
http://www.1001freefonts.com/http://www.fontdiner.com/main.htmlFor example, at font diner, download the font "Cool Air Conditioner"
EDIT: Its listed under the "free silverware" tab at the botom.
Load it up and type into your favorite word processor
"Chesapeake and Ohio"
Be amazed.
Its real close, connect the capital C and O to the other letters and truncate the wing off of the O at the end...
Viola! Chesapeake and Ohio script.
To me that looks like all it would take to make this font useful.
