Here are two I snapped from the local run today.

Accelerating after switching was done at Kavoori Paper

Here I am rolling into the yard later that day.  I had to pick up this train at Junction City after the crew ran dead on the law.

I'm not sure how the bus got in there...lol

It's ore shipping season again!!! That means the CoW is using foreign and leased power like there is no tomorrow!!!

The first ore train of the year rolls south from Superior for Chicago on a chilly November afternoon with a HLCX SD40T-2 / IC SD40-2 combo.

Here the hogger notches up the throttle to keep the train moving at a good clip.

Now with its dynamics whining, the 8000 ton ore train strolls into Junction City.

More work will come on this route in the near future. *hopefully*

Steve

I finally got a chance to take the new H2 skins for a spin.

Its the first snow of the year and one heck of a storm for that matter. It doesn't slow down the CoW and its near endless parade of ore trains from Superior. Today we catch a loaded drag with GEs fore and aft.

The DPU rolls silently as I snap this shot out the back window of moms car.

Nice shots. Winter routes are a pleasant change from all the usual greenery.

First revenue run for this beast was the Kavoori Paper local.

Today we got to the yard office and the yardmaster told us our train was on 3 track so we made our way out there and made our brake tests before we took off.

After making the long slow pull to the mill we run around our train on the set out track.

After all the switching was complete here is our train blasting across WI Highway 21 with the K5H just a blaring!

After we got back to the yard, we built some cuts up for the northbound expected later tonight.  After that we head back to the servicing area and tie down the new unit.

Awesome looking locomotive, THANKS RYAN, but I'll have to pop out some more numbers to get the desired HP and braking force.  HUGE difference between switching with a SD40 and the 1500...  ;D
