<pic of FEC passenger special>

I know the engineer of that train.  :D But I don't know the fireman that's hanging out the door.

I met him in Folkston and we just went railfanning together last Saturday.  He's in this video:

-Went out and about today in denver and found some interesting stuff!
-UP north yard.

-BNSF engine facility with a round table to the left of the building

-sd40-2 burned up. looks like it was rear ended! see for your self!

-I've seen this paint scheme before but not in denver!

-Thought this was weird sitting in the BNSF yard!

-UP had quite a few of these through out some yards. GATX!

-Saved the best for last. A KCS es44ac gevo. To me was rare to see in the bnsf yard esp. in that paint scheme. i thought it was only for aces but guess not!

KCS has GEVOSPAM, ACe's and ECO units which are rebuilt from SD40 and GP40 variants in the Southern Belle scheme. Still have to catch a Southern Belle in good light leading, somehow havnt managed to in a year of trying.
I believe that BN SD40-2 hit a gas tanker running long hood forward (LHF saves lives), someone has a shot on RP. Didnt look bad from the first shot but the other two tell a different story.
Alot of nice variety you guys have out there, ussualy in a day here in Atlanta I can see CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, Confail if im lucky, but most of its GEVOspam, some nice older power in those shots.

I agree.  I was taking pictures around UP's yard in Roseville California yesterday and saw 3 geeps fitted out with trucks like that.  There might have been more but I didn't see them.  Does anybody know anything about them?

late to the game- looks like a typical B truck modification. the leaf springs replaced with snubbers and the outside brakes removed. they even came this way for a while, so its not that new. also known as Blomberg-M.

Oh UP you cheeky outsourcers :smirk:

What is UP honestly going to do if you call them about a paint problem; dispatch the emergency paint brigade?
