Palmer Lake, Larkspur, Spruce, Tomah, and Sedalia on the Joint Line are good spots, and easily accessible. I wanted to go out today with the weather being as nice as it is, well except for the damn wind. If your up for a little drive you can hit Crescent, Pine Cliff, or Rollins on the east side of the Moffat Line, but the real show is on the west side between West Portal and Tabernash, 2% grade and 14,000+ ton coal trains =  :yay:.
-Awesome, thanks PintOLager! and i agree with you the wind sux!

Ha!  Ha ha!  Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah.  Way to go CSX.  They're practically doing the same thing down here with Q235 Louisville to Tampa.  It runs everyday with about a dozen cars.  But for some reason, they run its counterpart (Q214) only once or twice a week.  He'll run about 7 or 8,000 feet.  I guess that CSX will just remain a mystery.....  :poke:

I am sure he has plans for one, seeing as he took 110 photos in 15 minutes. lol
The black air & fuel tanks on that HLCX 4300 stick out too much against the grey under frame. It looks like that unit has a K5LA on it, did you notice what horn was mounted on it Ryan?

I stitched 16 photos together of the roof of it from one of the abuttments on the overpass right next to it. I have photos of 360 degrees of the whole engine.

Hmm, I thought I remembered you either having or making one. Could that have been for MSTS?
