Wow. Beautiful pic Bill. I love that tree on top of the hill. It makes me miss Colorado where I grew up. I am putting it right in my beautiful pictures folder if you don't mind.

No problem jade. I wasn't originally planning on going home that way but with a major truck accident messing up the route I normally take I decided to backtrack and go A different way instead of fight the traffic. Just being able to get that pic makes me glade I did. :)

About 10 minutes after a heavy cloud burst yesterday evening.

Despite the colouring this is neither a sunrise nor a sunset, rather the red hue is caused by a pall of smoke from a nearby bushfire.  The view from my back yard at lunchtime today....

I was reading about those brush fires this morning. I hope you don't have to evacuate because of them Andy. Have you heard anything about what caused the fires yet? Makes for some nice ski pictures though.

Wandering off topic - but most are started by lightning.  Unfortunately some are started by idiots.  Yesterday hottest ever in Victoria, 45 Centigrade (about115 F) with howling north winds.  21 fires still burning Sunday morning, 4 of them too close to home for comfort.  14 people confirmed dead, another 30 or so missing, over 100 houses destroyed.  Bad day.

Don't sound good at all. Keep the fingers crossed and if the need arises run like hell.

Wow thats pretty scary Andy, looks much worse than the fires we have in California each year.
Impressive photos but as Bill said fingers crossed, and stay alert.
Keep safe
