Yeah two versions would be a nice addition. Most of the CPL's were mounted like the image below during the early days of the CSX Merger with the former railroads.

Justin, do you have ICQ? It would be convenient to discuss the working moments.

Hi, the signals and coronas look perfect. i do not use icq much anymore, but can be found on skype for im most of the time.

Thank you guys for responses!  :cheers:
I will try to create many kinds of signals, like the masts, and on special bridges. Also, the dwarf, as I wrote earlier.
The result depends not only on me, because I do not know how to write scripts. But Justin has responded to help me, so that traffic lights were working and available to all.
I will decide workers a few moments and will continue to work.

Alex  ;)

Hello friends!
I was not a long time with news of, so decided to place a fact that there is at the moment.
Is the first beta package signals СPL.

The signals are not working properly, as needed help scripters, I unfortunately do not know how to make scripts.

The beta package includes:
- 17 signals
- 1 lsignal demonstrator lens with a corona effect
- lenses
- CPL lens mesh library ver 1.0
- CPL mesh library ver 1.0

If someone is able to make the right signals work, I completed the whole package of CPL lights and it can be placed on JR or USLW.

All signals with LODs. Game Version Trainz 2012 build 49922

taking a look right now!

update: I am currently configuring these to work properly, and hopefully you can build the rest off of what i am doing, but i have some concerns. First is the names are not very descriptive, or rather, easy to decode. sure the name gives the height and parts attached, but no clue to what the signal does or where it goes. that is why i initially divided mine up into number groups, cause then i could explain what would go in certain situations and cover the variants.

under my system

01-02 are not really defined but in the past have been variants
03 is for slow speed signals
04 is the basic absolute signal
05 is the basic permissive or intermediate
06D is the intermediate signal preceding 06
06 is the basic absolute junction signal
07 is the basic converging route signal
08 is the interlocking signal

i have been able to group yours into those operationally in the scripts, but i did not change the names. i will leave that choice up to you.

i will post a file here when i am finished.

Thanks Justin!
I will change the names of the lights at more understandable to them easier to distinguish when you install the map.

OK, here is a test set. it should be fully functional but just in case i missed something lets give it a lot of testing before saying it is good. you can report back here with any problems.

I have taken the above set and fully implemented it into the smart signal system.  everything should be functioning according to B&O signal rules. great job on the signals btw, they are excellent and well put together.

I just took a look at the CPLs. They are awesome! Took a bit of figuring out since they didn't follow the standard JR setup (04, 05, 06LD/RD, 08) but they look great. I do have a question though, will they be released with ground, gantry, and bracket versions? I have a route that bracket-mounted versions would be perfect on.

Justin, I looked up the signals and I liked how you made them work  :headspin:!
By the way, I renamed the name and that's what happened: I start from the fact that you have written in the description for each signal.
These names are suitable?

Will be version on gantry, on the masts (as in beta release of the) and dwarf signals standard. ;)

But I need some time to finish the job completely, but now I can say that the most difficult part of the job is already done. Thanks to Justin for the help!  :cheers:

Here is how I have defined the set I sent you in the script, based on the aspects available to them and their apparent configuration.

03 Type:
<kuid:506034:759015>

04 Type:
<kuid:506034:759003>

05 Type:
<kuid:506034:759011>

06D Type: Approach/Distant
<kuid:506034:759010>
<kuid:506034:759005>
<kuid:506034:759021>

06 Type:
<kuid:506034:759012>
<kuid:506034:759014>
<kuid:506034:759009>

07 Type:
<kuid:506034:759002>
<kuid:506034:759006>
<kuid:506034:759008>
<kuid:506034:759007>

08 Type:
<kuid:506034:759013>
<kuid:506034:759022>
<kuid:506034:759004>
<kuid:506034:759001>

I noticed these have longer sighting distance than standard JR signals. Not sure if that's something y'all are concerned about, but i did notice. If there was a full set of these out, I could just swap signals on my project and test the crap out of them. I have a 4-track PRR-Style route with lots of fancy interlockings. I could just put a bunch of trains on it and turn them loose on the signals and see if there are any problems, especially at the splits and the Terminus Station from Hell. Might be fun. I also noticed that these lacked a set of Lunar lights for Restricting. Will they have them at release? (Not a big deal if they don't)

do you mean you can see them from farther away? i do not see how this is possible since the max distance on the others is 5000m.

There is at least one of every type in the beta as noted above.

at least one in the set does have the lunar lights, others show the red with a marker indicating restricting.

This is what I meant: the coronas can be seen from farther away. Nice, but probably not prototypical for older signals to be "better" than newer ones.

Comparison:

First, the CPLs show up

then the Clights and Searchlights

Then the defaults

and finally, just for the hell of it, the SP Semaphores

Also, what I meant about a full set was including gantry signals, but it was just a thought.

Don't mean to bother you, I'm just being a nit-picky rivet-counter for the day.  :knowitall:
