I was able to attend the Rail Transportation summer program at Michigan Technological University in Houghton,MI. I was awarded a competitive scholarship. Our group was able to visit many railroad facilities, included (but not limited to):
1.) The LS&I shops and yard in Marquette,MI
2.) BNSF's 28th Street Yard in Superior,WI
3.) CN(DMIR) ore facility at Duluth,MN
Feedback welcome.
1st the LS&I shops.

Wow, That sounds like a field trip worth taking!

Get lots of pics, those old LS&I GEs are definitely worth the time to photograph.
